# Self-registering using Access Keys

When your Community is established, an 8 character **Teacher Key** is generated. This key allows teachers to register directly to Literatu using their school email address.

Once registered, teachers can then create classes which have **Class Keys**. The class keys can be used by students to register and join the class, or simply join the class if they already have a Literatu account.

### Where can I Find the Teacher Key?

1. Open a web browser and go to [www.literatu.com](http://www.literatu.com).
2. Click the hamburger menu at the top left
3. Look for the teacher key in the slide-out menu:

Click the email icon to open an email with the key and registration instructions, or click the copy button to copy the key.
